Colonial Sugar Refining Co building, completed ca. mid 1905 - see comments at - www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2780552800/

Pitt, Son & Badgery building, O'Connell St...I'd say that in this pic we're looking at the new 5 story PSB building which was evidently completed in ca. August 1909 - nla.gov.au/nla.news-article15071120 ; the building contract had been signed in December 1907 - nla.gov.au/nla.news-article14887409

If this item on NSW police uniforms is correct...just going on the pics, it looks like the policeman we see in this pic is wearing a 1911-1918 uniform - old.policensw.com/info/history/h6.html

The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency building, cnr of Bridge and Loftus Sts, was erected in 1882-1883...read comments here - www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2533262356/

It's difficult to tell were the crane is located...maybe a construction site on the other side of the NZ Loan & Mercantile Agency building?...a good candidate...maybe the only candidate...would be the Education Department Building in Bridge St...the initial part of which I gather was built in ?ca. 1912-1914...

All up, I'd say we're looking at ca. 1912-1914...a date range which is consistent with the confident striding unchaperoned woman carrying the suitcase...it's summer...the shadows are short...the wool clip has started arriving in town...
