      Thanks lauralemur! This postcard always makes us smile. We have taken to think that she was maybe a kind of person which would never express her love by cradling a kitten in her arms but instead would show her feelings with some sort of rude tenderness. ;-)

      As someone who's kept kittens, I can analyse this pose:
      1. Woman wants to be photographed with kitten. Puts kitten on table.
      2. Kitten gets bored waiting for photograph and starts to wander off.
      3. Woman has to hold onto kitten to stop it leaving the picture.
