Port of San Diego's Top Green Chef Cook-off
Hosted by the Port of San Diego, the Top Green Chef Cook-off took place on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at San Diego Gas and Electric’s Energy Innovation Center.
Chefs were critiqued by a panel of four judges and had 20 minutes to prepare an appetizer and 30 minutes to prepare an entrée. All of the mystery ingredients contained organic vegetables and meats from local restaurants.
The competing chefs included:
•Executive Chef Aron Schwartz, Marina Kitchen at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina: Winner of Best Appetizer
•Executive Chef Deborah Scott, C-Level/Island Prime: Winner of Best Entrée
•Executive Chef Steve Black, Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina: Top Green Chef
