MRS. F. E. BABE

The death occurred on Sunday at her residence. Glen Avenue, Papatoetoe, of Mrs. Fanny Eliza Babe, aged 80. Mrs. Babe was born at Wainui, Canterbury, and was a daughter of the late Mr. Samuel King, an early settler of that district. In 1880 she married Mr. Thomas Christie Babe, a pioneer farmer at Waikiekie. North Auckland, and lived there until about 20 years ago, when they moved to Mangere, where they lived in retirement. Mr. Babe died about three years ago, and shortly after his death Mrs. Babe moved to Papatoetoe. She is survived by one son and two daughters. []
