Wow! Wow! Wow! This is amazing! Congratulations!
I have an old patio table that I rescued from my neighbors trash and have never done anything with it. Would you mind answering a few questions?
Did you glue right on top of the glass? Is this tempered glass around the stained glass?
    What adhesive did you use?
What color grout did you use?
  • Mary Foley 3y

Yes this is glass on glass, and tempered glass. l use Macglue as the adhesive, it is especially made for glass on glass projects , dries quickly and a great bond, can be used on most mosaic substrate. l used Davco black grout. Thanks for the lovely compliment, much appreciated.

Kudos to you Mary!!! Brilliant & beautiful work – well deserved award!!! :)

Still in awe! You have inspiried me to finally do something with my old table!
Did you draw out your design directly on your table?
How do you make such wonderful shapes? I have tried to "free hand" shapes with not a whole lot of success! Do you use a taurus saw? thinking about breaking down and getting one for all of the projects in my mind!
Also, how does the Mac glue hold up outside? Can it handle freezing weather?
Thank you soooo much for your advice/help! Can't wait to start....maybe I will get my table done by summer! :)

Thanks everyone, this table has created quite an interest. l have been featured in a blog on Specialty art glass who ran the competition and also asked how l made it. ]
Attaching a pic of when l started , l have also some pics in my sets on here if you would like to look. l used glass nippers and a glass cutter to cut the glass pieces, don't have a saw (altho l wish l did ) . l am in Australia and we don't get really freezing weather where l live, but this has been outside for 12 months since l made it and still as good as new. l am thinking of putting a light underneath and bringing it inside in the winter so it will get more use.
Just practise your cutting , l have to use both hands to put pressure on the glass as l have weak wrists but once you achieve some good shapes it is easy
