Iconic

During my last visit in Hong Kong, one of my friends from The Netherlands was also in the area and stayed in Hotel Icon in Hung Hom, Kowloon. He mentioned the view from the hotel's rooftop swimming pool view was astonishing. At first I didn't really believe him, I expected to only see a glimpse of the skyline and the rest being blocked by other skyscrapers.

After we went shooting at The Peak in Hong Kong Island, we decided to visit his hotel. Unfortunately the swimming pool area on the roof was already closed. Luckily we were able to convince one of the hotel staff members to let us in for a couple of minutes. During this time I managed to get a few fisheye shots of the magnificent view before we were asked to leave.

Sanjay, thanks for bringing me up there...it shows the true beauty of Hong Kong. Skyline, skyscrapers, reflections, trails and a lot of lights!
