Moody Monday Macro

My plan to take myself for a photowalk over the weekend to try to find an interesting texture to photograph for today's Macro Mondays theme `Texture' was thoroughly thwarted by a full weekend of heavy rain. While I sat moodily in the car hoping, in vain, that the rain would stop, I started rummaging for anything that might make an interesting subject. Still sat in the car, I shot this macro showing the texture of the underside of my dog's blanket.

I purposely used a relatively narrow dof, and curved the material, to give a feel for the difference between what my eye could really see, and the intricate detail/texture revealed by the macro lens. The low-key/dark image also reflects my mood about the weekend's weather, and my usual Monday mood too :D
