Cancer Survivor Journal
I'm a cancer survivor. I now have chronic lymphedema, and fibromyalgia.

Note: I've rearranged this set so the newer shots are near the top instead of the end.

Minor swelling in my right ankle first noticed in summer of 2007 while being examined by a doctor who wasn't my regular doc during a visit for a different problem. She dismissed the swelling as unimportant.

Swelling increased by Oct. 2007 to a level that couldn't be ignored. Diagnosed as lymphedema Nov. 2007. Received treatment by a general physical therapist beginning Jan. 2008.

Evaluated by a therapist at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview Edema Treatment Center as a part of a clinical trial - Dec. 2008.

Scheduled to begin intensive therapy in Jan. 2009.
