    Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) addresses carbon emissions that contribute to climate change, which has become an international challenge. Pete McGrail, a Laboratory Fellow at PNNL, is part of a team studying basalts to determine if carbon dioxide can be safely and permanently stored in these massive, deep underground rock formations.
