MFA Bison Building Studio Build-out
Fifteen students from the first class of the MFA in Applied Craft and Design worked with design/build expert Steve Badanes to create their own personal and communal studios at the Bison Building in Northeast Portland. Silke Vermehren, a multimedia artist, designer and MFA candidate from Venezuela, was on hand to document the build-out of this groundbreaking project.

The MFA in Applied Craft and Design, jointly offered by the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art and Craft, is a unique graduate program is designed for students eager to explore the fusion of tradition, innovation, and practice, with design theory and hands-on making.
