I've been seeing all these cool X-wings (ex. 1 ex. 2) so I wanted to make my own. Again.

it's not really done, but I wanted to try changing the windscreen color.

for your consideration: previous two versions

Very nice! Simple, but elegant. It really reminds me of the oldest official "X-Wing" set.

I should make an X-wing of my own. I always wanted to.

Looks awesome, but from this angle the nose seems too short.

And I'm liking the alternative solution for the canopy piece.

when you say nose do you mean the gray part or the whole thing? I realized a few minutes ago that I need an extra stud between the cockpit and the nose for the length to be "accurate"

Looks VERY nice. The windscreen looks great. Love the smooth nose aswell.

Gotta say, the nose tip looks really nice, but the whole nose section needs to be just a tad longer, IMO. And where did you get that canopy in that colour?

Very nice rendition! I have to admit, it's better that mine ; )

Very nice. I'm working on a X-wing too. Why the wings aren't completely covered with tiles on yours ? I use 1X2 plates with one stud instead of round parts for the laser guns. Why don't you fill the gap between the slope bricks on the wings (with another slope brick for instance)?
Canopy and nose are my favorite parts.
What kind of device do you use for the moving wings? Is it possible to see the inside ? I modified the TLG set device (the one with rubber bands) but I'm not completely satisfied with it.

I use a similar device to the UCS x-wing but with the bigger 20 tooth gear instead of the 16 tooth lego uses.

I will be "smoothing" it out a little for the final model, this is just my rough cut.

That cockpit piece works really well.

Nice work. The fuselage shape in particular looks very realistic. Inspiring stuff, as usual!

The shape of the hull and cockpit is great!

so I just realized that windscreen does come in trans-black. Unfortunately it is only in the UCS snowspeeder. Hmmm....
