A Happier Joy

It has been two weeks since the start of Joy's pneumonia. She is back to her old self. No more coughing. Her energy level is close to normal. The only signs that she was sick are the bare spots on her chest and legs where they shaved her for IVs and for the needle aspiration of her lung.

Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts. You all helped!

Joy is a Labrador Retriever and a retired Helping Paws service dog. She worked for over seven years for my friend Kathy. Joy has a medical condition called Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome or SARDS. This disease has caused Joy to lose her vision, which prevents her from working as a service dog. She has adjusted fabulously to her new life as a much loved pet.
