sho and 'em: she (the sea) and him (the land)
I'm currently reading this wonderful book, "Landmarks," by Robert Macfarlane. It is about the power of language and how it shapes our sense of place; a word-hoard lexis describing the natural world. So many wonderful words in this beautiful tome. So many of them lost but found by Robert in his research for this book. Thank you Robert!
