16" x 16" square; machine pieced patchwork from recycled textiles; machine quilted.

Created for the Alliance for American Quilts "New From Old" art quilt contest.
Winners are chosen by member votes. $25 may sound pricey, but it's not just for a vote--it supports the non-profit quilting heritage archive, which (amongst other things) has one of the most well-designed and navigable digital library/archive collections I've ever seen.
Anyone who joins this week will be entered into drawings for quilting fabric, books, tools, and much more. Voting is open until 11:59 pm Sunday, June 20, 2010. Additionally, all contest entries will be up for auction in the fall.
Even if you don't vote for me, I figure it's an organization worthy of supporting that modern quilters might want to support and become involved with. Modern quilting is part of our heritage, too.
