Family Fun Day at PIT 2012
Thank you for being a part of our 20th Anniversary

Pittsburgh International Airport is 20 years old and I hope you were able to help us celebrate. The Allegheny County Airport Authority had a family fun day open to the public on Saturday, October 6. The event was held at the Landside Terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. Activities included live music, activities for children including bouncy houses, giant slide and obstacle challenges.

The highlight of the celebration was the airport tours. Nearly 600 people took the airside tours of Pittsburgh International Airport. The $5 fee benefited the Allegheny County Airport Authority Serve-A-Soldier program. Children under 12 were free.

Delta Air Lines also had a 757 airplane open for the tour. It may have been the most popular stop!

JetBlue Airways had treats and live music for customers at the ticketing counter and the gates.

The Airport Authority also opened an Aviation Models Exhibit featuring models and artifacts from Allegheny County Airport Authority employees, airlines and other airport family employees on display in landside and airside terminals.
