I was putting my daughter to bed two nights ago and she said to me:
"childrens life is simple daddy. we just get up and play and learn. adults lives are harder because you have work and pay taxes and stuff".
And I sat there and laughed a little and kissed her innocent cheeks and sent her off to sleep.
I actually found it pretty damn impressive that she could see and recognize her life as child for what it is. I loathe when people feel sorry themselves and whine about "how hard it is to be them". I don't think you will ever hear those words come out of her mouth.
The title is courtesy of my Ms. Simple Life who just happened to walk in the room as I was about to type this. I asked her for a random word and that is what she said.
Funny as she is seemingly leaping like a cat here, although she couldn't see the picture when I asked her for the word.
