..well, not exactly a "cover" girl, but probably as close as she and I'll ever get, read on...
Good morning. On what should be another quiet day due to the Labor Day Holiday here in the States I'm doing something I rarely ever do. Actually, I've done it only once before in three plus years on flickr...reposting a picture. The reason is to share with you that the above photo of a Red-spotted Purple Admiral (Limenitis arthemis) is in the current September - October issue of Audubon magazine, and on its website.
While it's only a 1/8 page photo spread that you can see in the comment section, I'm quite honored it was selected to be in a national magazine of high regard with naturalist. And while I've had a few of my photos used for non-profit publications, this was the first time I was compensated, and rather well to boot :-) Needless to say, being the amateur I am I'm quite proud and wanted to share it with friends here on flickr.
Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a great Monday and week. And for those of you in the States...I hope you have a great Labor Day Holiday. Enjoy and be safe in whatever you do.
