5th Annual Elf Classic
When it comes to racing this was probably the best of the five Elf Classics so far. The wind was right out of the south as the bulk of the fleet headed down the Miles River which resulted in some tacking duels down the home stretch. I did not catch the action at the start in Eastport this year. My ride for the day was the crabbing skiff Volunteer provided by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. It proved to be a stable platform for staff member Tracy Munson and I to take photos. Her fiance Curtis was the skipper and got us up and close to the action. Thanks to both of them and the museum for a making possible this wonderful opportunity to take some pictures.
