Sweet Factory
Being inside the sugar refinery could be really sweet!

In the 1970s, long before Taiwan's ascendancy to a leading position in computer manufacturing and design, the island was one of the world’s largest sugar exporters, as well as an innovator in sugar refining technologies. After decades of free trade, especially after Taiwan’s joining of the WTO in 2002, sugar production and refining has become nothing but a sunset industry. These days, many computer manufacturing procedures are also rapidly moving to China and elsewhere. Design would probably follow soon. Yet, no one should underestimate the continuous relevance of Taiwan in the manufacturing and design of computer electronics. After all, one cannot even get to this sugar plant ruin without driving past the global headquarters of Foxconn nearby.
