Locomotive History

25060 was originally D5210 and entered traffic, allocated to Toton in the summer of 1963. It was built at Derby works and was the last class 25 delivered from Derby works without front end yellow warning panels. After twenty two years service it was withdrawn in December 1985 due to power unit defects. It moved to Doncaster Works in January 1986 but was not broken up, instead it was dumped at Goole in the summer of 1986 before eventually moving to Vic Berry at Leicester where it was finally broken up in April 1987.
