For decades, these stone mandarins, soldiers, horses & elephants have stood guard in the salutation courtyard to protect the spirit of Emperor Khai Dinh.

 

Emperor Khai Dinh of Vietnam Nguyen Dynasty reigned from 1920-1931, and built his mausoleum atop a hill overlooking lush green valleys.
