Civil War costumes, Hagerstown MD

Shot at the National Pike Festival, Hagerstown MD. I like what this guy is doing by adding texture on layers, changing the layer blend mode, reduceing opacity, etc. His site is texturehouse.blogspot.com/ Above is my attempt. In post production. I photoshopped out background people. Print size 13x19 inches.

Critique by Jon Heller www.jonathanheller.com Both men have great expressions on their faces. It's a great moment you captured. The people in the background really distracted from the 2 men. One of the best things you did in the edited version was remove them. Excellent job creating an image that resembles the type and processes used during the civil war. I absolutely LOVE old photographs and looking at the work of Matthew Brady. Daguerre types and tin types are some of my favorite types of photography. You added some amazing textures and tones to this image.
