Rustic Decay

late afternoon in winter

West Façade

This house is significant because of its association with the prominent local Minshall family. The original portion of the house was apparently constructed in 1711 by Jacob Minshall and is among the most significant structures in the park. It has been unoccupied since the Tyler Arboretum was established.

This house can be found by entering the park by the Sycamore Mills entrance and turning left at the first unmarked trail you see.
