Countermeasure Wash Down


Pacific Ocean (June 15, 2005) - USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) conducts a test of countermeasure wash down system on the flight deck. Counter-measure wash down is designed to decontaminate the area from chemical, biological, and radiological attack (CBR) by washing these agents away. The Nimitz-class nuclear powered aircraft carrier is currently underway in the Pacific Ocean conducting a Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) inspection.
