Fox in the laundry
While on the roadtrip to the Abilene area with Kay we found ourselves in the tiny town of Wingate where we explored a closed school (the gym was awesome, photos to post in coming days) and an abandonded Washateria. While we were picking our way through the rubble to get to the washers I kept hearing a noise in the rafters (the ceiling and roof are mostly gone) and thought it must be a rat. Then I saw a bushy tail and told Kay it must be a squirrel, THEN I saw a FOX ! Had my camera not been around my neck I do believe I would have dropped it. Who could ever have imagined there would be a red fox in the roof of such a place? Shooting conditions were pretty bad so the photos are not the best but this is the first wild fox I have ever seen, what a huge surprise and thrill!
