The New Goldrush

    Newer Older

Canola rolls on forever in nearly every direction in Smoky Lake county. Taken along the Victoria Trail in Smoky Lake County Alberta.

Taken on a hot day in July, the cloud in the scene was the only cloud in the sky anywhere for as far as we could see. Temperature was around 34 degrees Celsius with only a slight breeze.

This is one scene I always want to capture when in Alberta but have never been successful, as the timing was off. So I appreciate the beauty of your shot. It's amazing how the canola in flower goes on forever and in all directions, for as far as the eye can see.
