Old Log Jam

    Newer Older

Trees, of any form or age, appeal to me. I found these old driftwood survivors appealing.

Happy Chinese New Year! We enter the Year of the Dragon, the sign I was born under.
May it be a great year for us all.

I, too, am fascinated with trees -- of any kind or whether they are dead or alive -- skinny or full -- or even laying on the ground like these Beauties! Funny you should mention the Year of the Dragon -- I heard a story tonight about how some Chinese couples actually abstained from "mating" so they wouldn't have a Baby in the year of the Rat, and now thousands are either expecting babies or trying desperately to make sure they conceive a child that will be born before this year ends. "Supposed" to be a very lucky year -- let's hope so! no more major disasters would be nice! I'm an "Ox" by the way -- in more ways than one!! (-:

Looks like these have been here for a long time Phil, must have taken a lot of water to create this log pile !

Yeap, I feel you regarding the tress... for me, they're old souls... very old. Beautiful textures and colors in this pile, and the combo with the greenery is very appealing.
