The Power of the Palouse

I am fortunate to live at the northern edge of eastern Washingtons agricultural gold mine: the Palouse. It's also a premier photo destination for us image hunters. Last year was my first year capturing images from Steptoe Butte. I'm sure looking forward to shooting here again. No two days are the same, as the light, fields and tones constantly change, providing new lines, textures and alluring colors. Hope to see you at The Butte sometime this year.

This was taken in June last year, after a hard winter and wet spring. It was a stormy day, with wicked clouds and high winds (common up top) yet sweet sunbreaks occasionally broke through to spotlight the vibrant greens below. Gotta love days like this!

As always, thanks for gracing my image with your views, comments and support.

Have a warm and wonderful weekend.
