This section of the Highline Trail is exciting and stimulating, as the narrow trail hangs to this cliff directly above the Going To The Sun Road. A strong cable, covered with garden hose, runs along this length of the trail for those who don't prefer heights. As you can see from the hikers above, it's not too bad as these hikers breeze thru here.
I generally spread my image subjects around for good variety but am going to post quite a few photos of my hike over this amazing trail as they occurred, coming and going, as I hiked to Haystack Butte. I believe the distance is between 3 and 3.5 miles one way. But it takes quite awhile as one stops frequently to capture more stunning images. Seems I was stopping every 20'. Bear with me as i share this special place with you for the next week or so.

A note: my images recently seem to have a "sharpening" adjustment when I post them to flickr. Sometimes it's fine, others a bit much. They look better on my mac before I post them. Has anyone else noticed this?
