Run on the Crack of the Bat

    Newer Older

I took this photo of San Francisco Giant plater Buster Posey a few weeks ago. He was the national league starting catcher in last night's MLB all-star game.

The ball is in the far right of this photo and there's a splinter not far behind it.

For this game I had a field level seat on the first base side.

Love the way the ball is coming off the bat and the bat is exploding. Way to take advantage of great seats.

One of these days they will have to ban those damn bats. Somebody is going to get seriously injured. Fantastic capture, Phil, love that shallow DoF.
You have a great career ahead of you when the world changes from using money to swapping goods and services.

Awesome shot as usual Phil. Looks like they let you take a 400 2.8 into AT&T?

I had a field level seat for that game. I don't think I would take one in the stands. I do routinely take my 100-400 though and they have never stopped me.

Sweat shot. With the new bat manufacturing rules, etc, there should be less of these kind of shots in the future. So this shot should be worth more in the future!

I got a busted bat shot also awhile ago, but not as nice as this one! Love the low angle.

Now that is a face for sure! Excellent timing, absolutely nailed it!!! Too bad about Melky...just when our brand had become clean again after Bonds, he tarnishes it again. I still have playoff hopes though;-)

Me too. Playoffs still seem possible.
