Moonrise Over Coit Tower

I have waited 7 long months to get a second chance at this photo. Oddly enough, I can't wait to have another crack at it. There are about 11 stops difference between a properly exposed moon and a properly exposed foreground.

 

The ooohs and aaahs from everyone watching this giant orange moon rising made it even more fun. Someone stopped by and asked if we were waiting for fireworks. I told them this would be much better than that.

 

Having photographed the moon over Pigeon Point Lighthouse earlier in the day (two phallic symbols in one day - see previous photo), easily makes this my best full moon day so far.
