Abraham Lake Icescape

    Newer Older

Here's a coooold one from Abraham Lake a few years back. I'm getting excited for the snow.
Many techniques used on this image are demonstrated in my recently released set of videos "Image Editing Volume I". A link can be accessed through my Flickr profile. Due to more strict enforcement of their rules, Flickr has asked me and many others to take down info such as links to personal websites, workshop information, and editing videos. However, it is still allowed to have such information in one's Flickr Profile.

Seems to me these are signs of ESP. Whatever you were thinking about, the lake responded with thought bubbles. This is really not far-fetched based on findings by Dr. Masaru Emoto of Japan. His studies of frozen water crystals worldwide suggest that human vibrational energy, words, thoughts and music affect the molecular structure of water. Results are documented in his series of books beginning with Messages from Water summarized extensively on the internet including this video among many others.

So might that mountain be Mozart sending you signals across the lake? ~~ thought bubbles about the music you were to play as principal clarinetist for the Spokane Symphony, a late masterpiece by Mozart composed months before he died in 1791, the Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, which you performed in November 2010 just ten months after composing this photograph. Perhaps inspired by ice bubbles that look like stacked musical notes, according to one review you played the concerto "like a coloratura aria on love and longing." How you transcribe a passion for music into photography and vice versa makes this profile by KSPS public television well worth watching.

Thanks for sharing, these are amazing. I've read a bit of your story, that was cool also. The lake is awesome but very dangerous. At least in the summer time. Just beautiful thanks again for sharing.
