Making friends at the beach
Finally, a truly warm and sunny day, so we went to the beach at Golden Gardens. It was warm enough to take our shoes and socks off and go barefoot in the sand. The surf was calm enough for walking along the little waves, letting the still-very-cold waters of Puget Sound wash over bare feet, a first for little N, whose previous attempts at returning to the sea were short and quickly overruled.
This girl became instant friends with us and showed N how to throw sand into the water, which N imitated right away, although his "throw" could use some work. Her mom said something about being careful throwing sand near the baby, but I said don't worry, he's already totally covered in sand.
