Freddy's bar which closed down in 2010 after a lengthy struggle to stay open after the eminent domain abuse conducted by Jay-Z and his politician mates which paved the way for the Barclay's Centre.

    yeah I heard about the foundry. Another great loss. I have many a happy memory there. Nothing is sacred anymore.. You do know I'm from London, don't you?. Well not strictly, but about 20 miles north..lived there for a long time though.

    Ohh that I missed ! but for foundry it's the same deal they knock it down to built another posh art hotel the building is ugly and foundry isn't the only one there are many venues shutting down exactly for the same reasons

    Great tribute Pex, sorry to hear there knocking down your watering hole. I've got some friends that live in that area, and I'm sure they bummed. They are going to be clearing out that whole corner area between Flatbrush and Atlantic to make room for that, right?
