Besides being the name of a horror movie, and a song by The Band, it theoretically also could also be the name of this creek. It probably has a different name though, as it is to be seen near Jøssingfjord, Norway. The b&w is a result of inspiration after seeing Hiker/Dale's recent upload that I really like (see comments field). That's what is great about Flickr, before this I struggled for hours and then I finish this one in an instant (well almost).
As some of you find it interesting to discuss techniques I've copied this answer from the comments field below:
I normally do aperture priority and came from the shadows when I did this image. So 5,6 was not really intentional, I should certainly have chosen 8 or 11. But at 10mm you cannot really tell in 100% view if the focus is different in the foreground from the background.
The image is made from an hdr processing that I felt didn't add much to the image - that was untill I made the b&w conversion (the original is also shown below). Doing the conversion I decided to turn blue darker, instead of trying to "even out" the halo effect. That along with the high contrasts gave me a bit of that "supernatural" look that I've admired in some magazines. But it all is a matter of taste! I certainly think Flickr has encouraged me to "pull things a little further" than I did before, as we all see hundreds and thousands of pictures, it is easier to notice the extreme stuff. It is part of my development and I have no idea where I'll end up :-)
