They pick up trash from the street and bring to their boss in return of a funny amount of money, that they can't afford to live. They are about 40 boys and men, aged between 13 to mid 20s working together on the streets of Bakirkoy, bringing trash, that can be recycled, to this old Derby factory . They work together, eat together and sleep together in three small huts in the backyard of the old rundown factory. There is no toilet, some of them do not remember when they had bath the last time. If the municipality confiscates their small trolley they have to pay it's money back the their boss, who provides the trolleys. They are paid little money and they pay it back to the same person.

The government or the local administrations do not have a proper recyling system in Turkey, so ironically the contribution of these men to recycling and economy is priceless. They are doing almost 60 percent of recycling of Istanbul.
