Lets Draw London!
I will be in back in lovely London next month, so I thought it would be a fun thing to have a sketchcrawl and hopefully meet some of the other London sketchers out there. I will be a guest blogger on the recently launched Urban Sketchers London site. Will you join us? Let's draw London!
The sketchcrawl will be on Saturday May 26, beginning at 10:30am outside Temple tube station. We will sketch (in groups or individually, how you prefer) the historic Temple and Fleet Street areas, with a midway meetup point outside Temple Church at 1:00, finally ending up in Gough Square (tucked away behind the north side of Fleet Street), by the statue of Dr Johnson's cat, Hodge, to look at each other's sketchbooks. And then maybe a pint or two in the old Cheshire Cheese pub!
This sketchcrawl is of course free and open to everyone, all you need is something to draw on and soemthing to draw with (or the other way around). And maybe a brolly if it's wet. A map might be a good idea too, though I'll probably bring some. This will be more than just a drawing get-together, it will be a chance to really explore and look at hidden corners in one of my favorite parts of the city.
Hope to see you there!!!
