Focus and determination
Thank you everyone for visiting, commenting and fav'ing - very much appreciated!
This is an example of a high light contrast where HDR photography really makes a difference. The sun is behind the head of my son. With a regular photo you may get the proper exposure for the foreground, but then the sky is all white. Or, you get the proper exposure for the sky, but then the foreground is black. As an alternative, you could turn on the flash, but then you get harsh colors and no plasticity. You can fix those issues by taking 3 exposures without flash, covering a total range of about 9 f-stops, then process those exposures into an HDR image.
