This morning I got up very early, too early for me on a Sunday. I headed north to San Francisco, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, parked the car and hiked up a nearby hill. I chose this spot because the sun was supposed to rise at 7:25am at an 118 degree angle, which puts it right over downtown. It was quite cloudy, but fortunately there was a relatively open layer. After the sun disappeared in the upper layer I could see these nice sun rays over downtown San Francisco. You can see the Bay Bridge to the left.

I processed a vibrant and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposure, and blended 10% of the paintery photo into the vibrant one, then carefully pulled the curves.
