My son at the JOAD Nationals tournament last week. In this photo I focus on the target, that's where the archer is aiming. After you draw the string back you anchor your hand below the cheek, transfer the weight of the bow from the your arms to the back muscles, aim on the target while focusing your form, then release the arrow.
I processed a single RAW image into a balanced HDR photo, added strong vignetting to draw the eyes to the target, and turned the image into monochrome.
