This is a set of photographs from the 1st OSGeo Irish Local Chapter symposium and workshops which was held on Friday 26th May 2017 from 09:30 - 16:30 at the Castletroy Park Hotel, Castletroy, Limerick, Ireland. The event marks the first official symposium gathering in Ireland for OSGeo. The event was organised by the Irish OSGeo local chapter and had 65 registered delegates. The symposium contained a keynote address by Markus Neteler (GRASS-GIS Project, Mundialis, OSGeo), 12 lightning talks by OSGeo and FOSS4G users from academia, industry and research in Ireland, and then three interactive workshops on GRASS-GIS, R and Rpubs and QGIS. The feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive. Delegates unanimously agreed that the event should be continued on an annual basis.
