Green Sea Turtle Being Cleaned

Newer Older

Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas), an endangered species, being cleaned by Yellow Tangs (Zebrasoma flavescens) and Gold-ring Surgeonfish (Ctenochaetus strigosus) at Turtle Towers dive site, Kona, Hawai'i.

This symbiotic behavior keeps the turtles free of algae and parasites while providing a food source for the fish.

    Hi there,
I am currently writing an article on species that live in coral reefs from a conservational approach, to gain interest of the species that flourish in coral reefs but are being jeopardise because of the dangers that face them. Please will you grant me with your permission to use this image in my article? All image credits will be given, alongside with a direct link to your image.
I like to combine writing with the use of photography to inspire people of the wonderful natural world that surrounds us, to educate and promote conservation!
I hope to hear back from you.
