Muntjac Deer Fawn
I just missed seeing the birth of this fawn, in the centre of 'The Copse', at the British Wildlife Centre, Newchapel, Surrey. I could see the mother licking the fawn, and assumed that it had been born earlier in the morning (until I later compared notes with Keeper Kate).
After a sandwich, and a coffee, I went back into 'The Copse', to find that it had wobbled its way under the walkway. Here it is, with legs going in all directions!
