Things to do in Cincinnati #27: Madison Milk
A short road trip about an hour and fifteen minutes south west of Cincinnati brings you to historic Madison, and Clifty Falls State Park. Madison is a sleepy but charming Indiana town on the banks of the Ohio river, where you can grab lunch on a floating restaurant, visit the charming Lanthier winery, which offers free tastings, or visit the railway and heritage museum (closed on Sundays).
I have to admit that Clifty Falls were less than breathtaking, but to be fair, I was dumb enough to go water falling in the middle of a record breaking drought! I'd hoped the recent storms would have fed them, but alas, yesterday the Mannequin Pis statue in the gardens of the Winery generated a more convincing flow than even the biggest of the Clifty waterfalls! Ce la Vie!
