California Aqueduct

I've been trying to play more with some of the great concepts I've seen on flickr lately, and one of those is layering texture into your images to give them a painterly feeling. This is another image from my new medium format Mamiya, altered in Photoshop to create a completely new feeling. I'm pretty happy with it - let me know what you think.

The Aqueduct was built in the 60's to conduct water from the Sierra Nevadas down to Southern California. Bringing on average 13,000 sq. ft. of water down its 715 mile range per second, it is a marvel of engineering.
