BaD Jul 7, 2020 - Strong Man
7/31 Blythe A Day
At one point in history every circus, carnival & vaudeville hall had a strongman on hand to astound spectators.
In the 19th century, the term 'strongman' referred to an exhibitor of strength or similar circus performers who performed feats of strength.
Louis Cyr added showmanship to strength.
His name is not well known today, but during the late 19th century Louis Cyr was considered the world's strongest man. Even now, his feats of strength may just qualify him as the strongest man who ever lived.
