Viburnum davidii

That old correlation twixt familiarity and contempt... If this were at all hard to grow it would surely be among the most highly regarded of garden shrubs - low, compact, attractive in flower, excellent in foliage and, if you have male and female plants, stupendous in fruit (the berries are blue on red stems). Unfortunately, although easy to grow it is hard to grow well and the two sexes can be hard to source so the result can be disappointing. This was snapped in a park in Hayward's Heath in West Sussex.
