The real climb starts to the summit of Grisedale Pike in the Lake District.
I really love the colours captured here and the shadows on the landscape which highlight the pike itself.
It was a great day for walking, a tough walk but well worth it.
I have decided this to be my favourite image of 2011, I have taken a lot of landscape shots most avoiding people but I think the fact they are in this adds to the composition. The colour is great and made by the contrasting light and shadows. Thanks to anyone who favourites.
