Old 22 in New Jersey

Purcell's Mill, later Phillipsburg Agway, now vacant as of 2011. It is right along what was Lock 10 West of the Morris Canal and built along the Easton-Brunswick Road about 1850 by the Uhler Family. The Purcell family purchased the mill in the 1890s and it is usually called Purcell's Mill on old postcards. There is a lot of great local history tucked into this little corner along the Phillipsburg/Pohatcong Twp border. You have this mill complex, the Morris Canal, the Lehigh Valley Railroad and Central RR of New Jersey bridge trestles, and the brewery across the road from this mill (looks like a mill with a rusted water tower beside it).
