the two previous photos were taken at night, indoors... but I realized that those photos don't really show the true colour of this shade, so the next morning I tried again in natural daylight to get this.
this was released as limited edition for the holiday season in 2006? I found it by chance at a nail salon in Singapore at the time, and completely fell in love with it~ compared to the Chanel red nail polish that I have, which is just a solid colour, this one is slightly more vibrant with the addition of golden sparkles.
OPI has released many red nail polishes that also have sparkles (either gold or silver), but none of them look as good as this. I take this to the nail salons here in Vancouver sometimes when I go to get nails done, and every single time, people would ask me about it saying it's such a gorgeous shade.
and it really is~~~ I absolutely *adore* it. I even like this more than the Chanel one now (and that's saying a lot cuz I love Chanel nail polishes), cuz Chanel's Fire can look like a slightly darker red as compared to this, which is just shinier.
in the last 2 years, I used to wear this like all the time... but now I've finally grown a bit tired of it, just cuz I simply have too many nail polishes on hand that I don't get to try as much. so now, this is only reserved for special occasions.
like GLAY's concerts! haha~ XD
Teru must have seen my nails cuz he saw my finger tattoo when he came forward to pass me the mic to translate... hopefully he's amazed by how pretty my nails are! HAHAHAHAHA~~~ and his favourite colour is red, that's why I sport red nails to the concerts! I also figured, in those dark concert venues, red nails would stand out better than the typical rockish black nails!
yes, I give a lot of thoughts (actually maybe way too much, lol) into what nail colour I do, depending on the occasion and the time etc etc...
